Race for the Cure 2016

Meet Team AllState! Last year they were our third highest ranked fundraising team for Race 2015, raising over $20,000! How did they do it?  They started small by simply sharing information with employees to gain interest and from that, their simple idea exploded into a mechanism to support two of AllState’s key corporate initiatives-employee health/well-being and community service. Click here to view their whole story. We thank  AllState for their continued support of our Race. They are working hard again this year to help us hit our $1.3 million goal!  They Are.  Are You?  Give AllState a run for their money by registering your own team today at komen-dallas.org/dallasrace!

Survivors

Breast cancer survivors know first-hand why it is critical that we continue to fight breast cancer from every angle.  Each year, many of our breast cancer survivors fundraise in an effort to end breast cancer forever.  We encourage every breast cancer survivor to make an impact and start fundraising today!  Sherri Fetter, a breast cancer survivor, raised $1,798 in 2015 and had 23 team members on her team – SuperSherri.  Sherri is already registered for the 2016 Race and started her fundraising.  Sherri is super for sure!  Don’t forget, the top 5 Breast Cancer Survivor Fundraisers will receive fabulous prizes this year.  Start your fundraising today:  komen-dallas.org/dallasrace

Research Moment

Remember that a portion of funds raised through the Dallas Race for the Cure is invested in breast cancer research.  Take a closer look at the research you are supporting through your hard earned fundraising dollars!  Click here to listen to George Sledge, JR. M.D., one of the Chief Scientific Advisors on the Susan G. Komen® Scientific Advisory Board, as he explains his Komen funded research on metastatic cancer.
