RIDE FOR A CAUSE

Uber is an app for your smart phone that allows you to request rides on-demand at the simple tap of a button. This fall, Uber is donating a portion of its proceeds to Komen Dallas County for every new user who enters code uberkomen into the promotion section of their account. For the month of October, Twisted Root will be selling a spcial “nice pair” milkshake in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. $1 from each milkshake sold will be donated back. G Wear, a line of eco-friendly fashion tops, has designed an exclusive collection for Komen Dallas County. 10% of proceeds from this collection will be donated back to the Affiliate. All G Wear products are made from 100% recycled materials, including old Komen Race t-shirts they were able to re-purpose to support the cause. More information…

During the month of October, Allen Samuels Autoplex in Ennis will be raising funds for breast cancer awareness month. Allen Samuels has committed to donating $50 for every car sold in October. This is its second year to partner with us and the team hopes to beat its total from 2013 of $5,000! More information…
DANCING FOR THE CURE

This October, Angels of Dance present Dancing for the Cure, a dance showcase featuring performances by dancers of all ages. Dancers must provide a donation in order to participate and will perform professionally choreographed routines. Eighty percent of ticket sales will be donated to Komen Dallas County. TangoTab, a mobile app that offers discounts at participating restaurants, has partnered with Komen Dallas County to raise funds and save lives. Diners can download the app and enter promo code SGK to designate themselves as Komen supporters. Then they simply use the app to get discount deals at local restaurants!
