February is the month we recognize the achievements of African Americans in the United States. It is also a time to focus on the struggles African Americans have faced. Breast health disparities still exist between African Americans and Caucasians. Learn more about how Komen is working to achieve health equity here.
2020 Komen Dallas County BigWigs!
The 2020 BigWigs campaign kicks off March 2nd. Business owners, community leaders, and those with a real passion for ending breast cancer forever, will be donning pink wigs and fundraising for the month of March. We are excited to reveal our BigWigs next month! But there is always room for more!

Black Men Breast Cancer Rates
“Hyuna Sung, Ph.D., from the American Cancer Society in Atlanta, and colleagues used nationwide data from 2010 to 2016 to examine racial differences in the incidence rates of breast cancer subtypes defined by hormone receptor (HR)/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) by sex.”
